I love bowling in college. It’s the best version of bowling and has brought me closer with some of the best friends I’ll ever have in my life. The memories made will last a lifetime. But damn it, I want my football Sundays back.

This weekend, my team is competing in the Racer Classic in Lima, Ohio; therefore I’ll likely miss the start of the 1pm games — and that’s a gift. Usually collegiate tournaments carry deep into the second half of the 1pm slate.

All I’m saying is that I better not finish bowling only to see the Bills are losing to fucking Andy Dalton 17-0.

Can the Eagles depth help withstand their injuries?

Howie Roseman built the deepest roster in football; it’s time for that to paid dividends. Philadelphia will be without two defensive tackles (Malik Jackson and Timmy Jernigan), deep-threat Desean Jackson and starting tackle Jordan Mailata. Alshon Jeffrey and Dallas Goedert are listed as questionable and Carson Wentz didn’t look quite right last week. Philadelphia will host Detroit this week. It should be a gimmie, but the Eagles lost games like this last year. Super Bowl teams win games like this.

Can Lamar Jackson keep up with Patrick Mahomes?

Chiefs-Ravens is the game of the week and quite possibly the game of the year. As evidenced by last week’s second quarter, it’s impossible to stop Mahomes for four quarters. Jared Goff went toe-to-toe with him in last season’s game of the year. Jackson torched the Dolphins and Cardinals while playing from ahead, but can he match that production if the Ravens fall behind by a touchdown or two?

Will Pittsburgh crater or step up to the challenge?

The Steelers are 0-2, without their future HOF quarterback and playing on the west coast against an undefeated team. Literally everything is stacked against them. Historically, the Steelers have thrived under adversity. They’ll need to ensure history repeats itself because Pittsburgh’s season is on the line this weekend.

How do the Browns respond to the bright lights on Sunday night?

The Browns struggled (especially with stupid penalties) at home in Week 1 against a Tennessee squad that looks worse every week. Cleveland looked better last week, but that was against the Jets. Obviously, playing at home is easier than playing on the road. However, when you have a fanbase that is starving for a winner like Browns’ fans, the pressure of playing in front of the home crowd can be overwhelming.

The Rams are still among the league’s best teams, but they aren’t unbeatable. A win this week would be huge for the Browns as their upcoming schedule (@ Baltimore, @ San Francisco, Seattle, @ New England) is not easy.

Why is nobody talking about Deshaun Watson versus Phillip Rivers?

I feel like Texans-Chargers is flying way under the radar as a marquee matchup. Both Houston and Los Angeles are playoff hopefuls with sensational quarterbacks. This game should be awesome! This game feels very much like Falcons-Vikings did in Week 1 where the winner could ultimately hold a critical postseason tiebreaker. As I said in my weekly picks article, I’ve got the Texans winning, but I think Deshaun Watson will need to make some 4th quarter magic happen. He’s been known to come through in such situations before.
